INTRODUCTION TO THEATRE,
The Drama 1304 Journal

Steve Gilliam, Professor

A significant aspect of your final evaluation for participation in the Matchbox Theatre play will be the submission of a journal, a diary, log book or written record of your involvement in the mounting of our public presentation. The Journal is due on or before the schedule Final Examination for this class as published by the Registrar. The nature of a journal is to write whenever or whatever. I encourage you to keep up with your submissions. They represent tangible documentation of your journey as a collaborative artist in this Matchbox production. You are to record your reactions to the process, to EACH rehearsal. You are to discuss your work on and ideas regarding your crew assignment. For your final journal entries, you are to reflect on your experience after the first public performance but before the second evening's shows. This particular entry need not be extensive but should provide your reactions of performing in front of  a live audience. Your last entry should summarize your overall experience in mounting the public presentations.
