Technical & Property Coordinators
The Technical and Property Coordinators are in charge of scenery, props, and the backstage areas. These individuals will collaborate with the cast to create these aspects of the production. If scenery or props need to be constructed, the Coordinators will work with Professor Gilliam and others will complete the task. During rehearsals, this crew will assist the Stage Manager in arranging the furniture and props. During the Tech and Dress Rehearsals, as well as the Performances, the Coordinators will organize and run the properties.
Properties help tell the story. They can make a character believable. It is essential to work with props during rehearsals. They are priority tools for the actor.
You are not the sole finder or creator of the props. Each member of the cast should help locate his or her props. However, you are the organizer and gatherer. You will have access to the Trinity University Drama Prop Storage Area where you can check-out props. Check early to determine what you need to find off campus or in student closets.
This crew requires individuals who enjoys the challenge of inventing and solving problems.
