1^ST ACT

Opening # - Boot (or something to throw out to silence CATS)

Gumbie Tap - 12 Tap utensils (lightweight ‘canes’)

Bustopher Jones - walking stick (used to be a snuff spoon)

- Seat (used to be a top hat)

- Boutonniere (either 1 to give to another cat, or one for each performance which is thrown to an audience member )

Mungojerrie & Rumpleteaser – something to carry stolen loot (used to be stuffed socks)

Pekes & Pollicles – ‘bagpipes’ (used to be a football w/ candy cane pipes)

2^nd ACT

Gus – seat (can)

Siamese/Swordfight – 2 curved swords or sabers for brief swordfight

8 Siamese weapons (tridents or more swords)

Skimbleshanks – about 10 train pieces to assemble (some found onstage)

Kidnap – net to throw over Old Deuteronomy

Flashlight – After Macavity’s dramatic exit there is usually a blackout. While I realize that this is not

possible, I still hope that we might have a light that could help direct the focus onstage

briefly. I would like to discuss this or other options with you and the lighting designer.

Mistoffelees – A ribbon which shoots out or some magical display. (used to be a bucket that

shot out when he commanded with a ribbon inside which he then threw across

stage).

- A red magicians conjuring cloth usually round in shape. This covers Old

Deuteronomy’s entrance and reveal

PYRO

Siamese – I don’t feel that we need the fireworks, but would be happy to consider it if you like

Macavity’s - execution could be a combo of lights and pyro

Mistoffelees – His initial entrance could pyro behind him. After 4 bars of music full lighting is

traditionally restored. Then there are 7 ‘flashpots’ or effects that he commands to go

off around the stage:
