THE NURSERY Special Effects & Practicals

  1. Mantel Coal Box practical, red glow. Electrics
  2. Large Vase on top of Mantel with lamp inside as Tinkerbell. Electrics1-10 1-17 1-21
  3. Puppet on top of Mantel to move or shake when Tinkerbell flies by. Pushrod from behind the wall. Props. 1-10
  4. Gas Light Sconces. One above each bed (3) on separate circuits and controls. 1-10 Additional lamps throughout the Nursery on one separate control. Electrics 1-13 1-23
  5. Doll’s House for Tinkerbell’s effects. The MUNY already has one from last time. There are two circuits inside. Electrics.
  6. Dresser wired with lamp in middle drawer. Unit must visibly shake and drawers open as Tinkerbell flies in and out. The MUNY already has this unit from last time. Electrics and Props. 1-11 1-17
  7. Peter’s shadow is cast onto the sheers on the window. Single source lamp placed in footlight trough CL. Electrics. 1-13
  8. Fog for transition and fly out of house. 1-27 Last time we used 4 units. The splitters do not seem to work. Please discuss. Electrics.
  9. Stars … millions … strung in Island trees. Electrics.

THE NURSERY. Props and Set Dressing.

  1. Fireplace. Scenery.
  2. Mantel with knic knacs TBA and Special Effects #1,2,3.
  3. Three Beds with bedding (Sheets, pillows and pillowcases, bedspreads.)
  4. Three toy boxes. Discuss with director on whether these need to open or are just stood or sat upon.
  5. Dresser. The MUNY owns this.
  6. Dresser dressing TBA.
  7. Dog House. Scenery
  8. Window Sheers
  9. Window Curtains.
  10. Doll house. The MUNY owns this
  11. Lots of toys around the beds.
  12. Inside Dresser. Clothes and rages
  13. Dolls by Wendy’s
  14. Tea Set on Dresser??? Maybe not is Peter lands on it.

 

 

 

THE NURSERY … Scripted Items and Director Questions

  1. 1-1 Mantel Clock. "It isn’t even six o’clock"
  2. Bathroom Door large enough for Nana to exit.
  3. 1-1 Liza may enter with flowers to be put in a vase??? "Madam, what lovely flowers."
  4. 1-2 Mrs. Darling enters to observe Wendy and John dancing. I suggest this is a raised area from a door to the hallway where Mother can observe behind the dancing.
  5. 1-2 Costume hat … Wendy. "What are you doing with my new hat?"
  6. 1-2 Costume top hat … John, (she takes top hat from John and places it on Michael.
  7. 1-4 Shadow from drawer. Black interfacing cut in the shape of PP.
  8. 1-5 Nama enters with a large spoon in her mouth. Wooden.
  9. 1-6 Wendy enters with the medicine and glass.
  10. 1-8 Nana’s food bowl.
  11. 1-11 Soap. Where?
  12. 1-13 Sewing kit for Wendy. 1-13
  13. 1-15 Timble from sewing kit.
  14. 1-15 Peter gives Wendy an acorn. I assume from a pocket in costume.
  15. 1-15 Wendy has a chain around her neck onto which she places the acorn (off stage or what?)
  16. 1-25 Fairy Dust.

NEVERLAND Special Effects

  1. Mushroom unit with remote control Rosco fog/smoke. The MUNY has a mushroom from the last time we did it. Electrics.

NEVERLAND … Scripted Items and Director Questions

  1. 2-1-2 Captain Hook enters carried on in a rickshaw.
  2. 2-1-2 Weapons … swords, pistols, bow and arrows. Thommie, we need to discuss this, number and look.
  3. 2-1-3 Smee’s whisle. Probably on a chain.
  4. 2-1-4. Pirate musical instruments or can this be the orchestra. "Inspire me … play, you dogs!"
  5. 2-1-5. Poison Cake description 2-1-12
  6. 2-1-8 Bow and arrow to shoot Wendy.
  7. 2-1-8 Wendy flies back on with an arrow in her heart … on the acorn How???

  1. Last time we had a lightning bolt in the center skytruck.
  2. Last time we had a SKULL cutout in the center skytruck.
  3. 4 dry ice fog machines if Marooner’s Rock.

  1. Glass for Poison placed on rock with a clamped hose. Dry ice in the glass. Hook pours green liquid in it. When Tinkerbell drinks it, a stage hand unclamps the hose and the liquid drains out. I do not think the audience can see this. 2-4-37, 38
  2. Underground Doll House home for Tinkerbell. Three light circuits. Pink, Red and Green.
